- CT Urography: Also known as a CT IVU, this is an imaging test that uses a special dye and CT scan technology to examine your urinary system. This includes your kidneys, ureters (tubes draining urine from kidneys to bladder), and bladder itself. The dye helps the structures show up more clearly in the detailed 3D images captured by the CT scan. This test is helpful for diagnosing issues like kidney stones, blood in the urine, or tumors in the urinary tract.
